Located in the green belt, adjacent to an arterial route between Manchester and Liverpool, this new build project is a joint venture development between Redwaters and Salboy Ltd. The competition winning entry designed by Cartwright & Gross comprises of 32 luxury apartments, restaurants and an entertainment venue, set in a landscaped context with strong industrial heritage.
The entertainment venue and restaurant accommodation is composed of three interlocking volumes clad in zinc which creates strong exterior facades and striking interiors. The residential element is designed around a series of courtyards creating a unique environment. This gateway development on the boundary of Wigan and Salford provides the local community with much-needed facilities in a contemporary landscaped setting with open views across the local countryside.
